IGNOU Hyderabad Regional Centre: The Regional Centre at Hyderabad was formed in 1987, January. This is the first study centre of the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The department was inaugurated on 1987, February 2, by the late Professor G Ram Reddy, the founder and Vice-Chancellor of the university. The Regional Centre is administered by Dr. K. Ramesh, the senior regional director.
The Hyderabad included 5 study centres in 1987, and only 546 students were enrolled in 2 programs like Diploma in Management Program and Diploma in Distance Education. Over the years, the centre has extended to 20 LSCs in private and premier Government institutions and offers around 150 courses in online and distance learning modes. RC-Hyderabad consists of the new Telangana State regional centre with 33 other districts.

- IGNOU Admission has started for all online and ODL mode courses and students can apply by last date of 15 July 2026 into July 2026 session.

IGNOU Hyderabad RC Admission Updates 2026
Hyderabad Regional Center also conducts its admission twice in a year in January and other in July. IGNOU has commenced admission procedure for the July academic session and to avoid any last minute mistake applicants are advised to fill the application forms by the last date of 15 July 2026.

IGNOU Hyderabad Regional Centre Admission Process 2026
- Students can apply on the regional centre homepage rchyderabad.ignou.ac.in.
- On the page, under the “About Us” section, click on the moving notification “Fresh July 2026: Click Here“, button to be redirected to the admission website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- Register using the login initials like user ID, password, applicant’s name, valid email address, mobile number, and so on.
- Login using the set login details, and get ready for the online application.
- Enter the details asked there, and select the course you want to enroll in.
- Submit documents such as scanned educational mark sheets, category certificates, scanned photographs, and the signature of the student, etc.
- Make the payment using a debit or credit card, or net banking.
IGNOU Hyderabad Regional Centre Faculties
The IGNOU Hyderabad Regional Centre is headed by Dr. K. Ramesh, the senior regional director, and supported by extensive teams of skilled staff and academic administration. The staff and teachers help students through their queries, studies, and the different programs offered at the study centre.
The department is also extending its support system by offering international educational expos and meets. The center also offers channel-based counseling on Gyandarshan TV, and the same is available on YouTube, so the students can watch the videos easily in the Telegu language.
